afternoon at Pasco's

Today I met up with a friend at one of my favorite local Restaurant's Pasco Kitchen & Lounge. Our lunch started out with an amazing agave lime foam shrimp ceviche made by chef Ramiro himself!

a sample of their house made brandy cherries

drinks: The Pimms cup & Father Kino! followed with a delicious old fashion soda

and The Chupacabra- freshly muddled cucumber & cilantro, house-made spiced tomato juice, pabst blue ribbon made by my man, Nic (talented bartender/singer/ukulele player)

then my fav dish bacon & eggs y'all holler!!!

so lucky to have such a cool spot to hang out mid day and eat fresh urban farm fare. While we were there the AZ star was taking pics for a feature on Pasco's in next weeks paper. Guess who got their mugs shot. Good times!

Agua Linda Farm

The Agua Linda Farm garlic Fest in Amado, AZ is an event I look forward to every year. Stewart and Laurel are beautiful people and we have enjoyed being CSA members and stopping by the farm on occasion.

On our way out to the festival we stopped by Maynard's Market and picked out a vino to bring with us and St Vincent de Paul to pick out glasses since we forgot to grab some at home. score! found Callaghan Vineyards glasses for $.50 from an amazing vineyard that my friend and cello player Andrew works for in Elgin AZ

bought eggs, tons of fresh garlic, & onions

had some fantastic

and hung out with the cutest lamb with three names: flash, flashes or lambess... who ironically chases the sheep dog. what a great day!!!

whiskey

whisky barrel tomatoes. last year the Tucson sun was a lil too hot for my tomatoes. This year I decided to move them under our beautiful pecan tree. they are very happy campers. if their are any unwanted bugs, I'll grab my trusty spray bottle of diluted dr Bronners. also, If they start drying out to fast after watering, placing hay on the top of the soil keeps the moister in and planting Marigolds is another safe pesticide for your beauties.

dinner

making Lasagna tonite with THE best canned tomatoes, San Marzano, hot italian sausage from Roma imports, zucchini, chard, basil, pinch of oregano, parsley, garlic, ricotta, mozzarella, one egg & parmesan.
